"We manage the emergency calls which means it's not just eight to five. Dr. Murphy will answer the phone at 10 o'clock at night to make sure those patients are taken care of. That was what really separated us during COVID when everything shut down. Him and I were here every day making sure we kept patients out of the emergency room." Dr. Hoffman
Community Commitment
Once a quarter, Round Rock Dental Group opens their office for community days with Capital Area Dental Foundation to treat families who don't have insurance. "Our staff volunteers and we invite volunteers from other offices to help these folks that otherwise wouldn't be able to get any dental care." Dr. Murphy stated as he also shared about working with Williamson County, Sacred Heart Community Clinic, and the overall value of investing in their local community.
For nearly all of the 42 years Dr. Murphy has been in dentistry, he's spoken to local schools during National Children's Dental Health Month (February), and at middle/high schools for career days.
"We're just so appreciative of the community, which is why we try to give back as much as we can. If it wasn't for the community that we have right here, we wouldn't have the patients. And if it weren't for the patients, we wouldn't have a job. So, we do everything we can to appreciate the community that we're lucky enough to be able to work in."
"When I go scuba diving, we always consider ourselves stewards of the sea and ask what we can do to make things better and preserve this for the next generation. Well, I think Eric and I feel the same way about being stewards of the community that's been so good to us." Dr. Murphy
